8 Best Beaches When traveling to Pattaya, Thailand

Fireworks in Pattaya

The beautiful beaches when traveling to Pattaya will show you a different face of this sleepless night city. From vibrant to quiet, there’s always a place for you.

Although Pattaya is a coastal city, most people don’t think of its beaches which has two facts: Pattaya is more famous for its red-light districts and nightlife. That is a misconception. The beautiful beaches when traveling to Pattaya below will blow away that prejudice.

Jomtien Beach

Located south of Pattaya’s city center and the main beach, Jomtien Beach has a lot to offer. It’s quiet enough that you don’t feel like you’re at a party, but there’s plenty to do.

Besides the glittering apartment towers where expats and wealthy Thais reside, Jomtien has a cosmopolitan taste compared to other Pattaya’s most beautiful beaches. But the Thai taste is still very prominent, thanks to the hawker stalls throughout the main street.

Koh Larn Island

Jomtien is beautiful, but if you want to truly enjoy the best beach experience in Pattaya, you’ll need to get on a boat. The trip from Pattaya’s main pier to Koh Larn (Coral Island) is not very long and boats are frequent. Unspoiled beaches like Ta Waen are a standout destination and lead to unusual crowds on Koh Larn at peak times. Therefore, you should try to come here during the week and avoid public holidays.

Dongtan Beach

Pattaya is famous for its LGBT community although local tourism is not intended to do so. One place to enjoy for the LGBT community is Dong Tan beach, a popular and comprehensive gay entertainment venue. Geographically, the name on this list of the most beautiful beaches in Pattaya is located south of Jomtien.

Koh Mai Phai Island

To get to Koh Mai Phai, you have to board the same boat as Koh Larn. But Bamboo Island is much further away. That’s because this place is famous for its beaches for divers. You can only get here from Bali Hai Wharf.

Bang Saray Beach

Located at the farthest south on the list of the most beautiful beaches in Pattaya and Bang Saray also feels the most isolated which is very suitable for those looking for a feeling of relaxation, and a little peace where you can add some value to your Thailand trip by heading to the nearby Ramayana Water Park or stopping at Pattaya Dolphin World en route.

Koh Si Chang Island

If you plan to visit Bangkok after you finish your Pattaya tour, why don’t you hate visiting Koh Si Chang Island?

Make a stop at the port city of Si Racha where you can take the ferry to Koh Si Chang. Not to be confused with Koh Chang, located in the eastern part of Trat province. Koh Si Chang is the closest island to Bangkok, and also has some of the best beaches in Pattaya, colorful villages, lush jungles and giant temples.

Naklua Beach

Naklua Beach is completely secluded with the most noticeable highlight compared to some of the most beautiful beaches in Pattaya. Alternatively, you can enjoy the view of the Sanctuary Of Truth

Naklua Beach, located north of Pattaya (south of Jomtien), doesn’t have the whitest sand or the bluest water.

Pattaya Beach

It seems strange to list Pattaya Beach at the bottom of the list of beautiful beaches when traveling to Pattaya. But it will be meaningful when you get there. Crowded and not always clean sandy beaches are not the first place you want to sunbathe even when convenient. But if you can get in and out before the walking paths are full of people, you can really enjoy your time at Pattaya Beach.
